Is it better to buy organic or local? In the winter months I try to stick to buying local. I don't eat tomatoes (or cucumbers or eggplant or summer squash) because they are mainly imported or from a greenhouse and they taste awful. I do buy organic garlic and apples and potatoes in the winter. It's all about balance.
